Half swedish and half spanish [with one blue eye (Swedish) and one brown eye (Spanish) to prove it], Viveka Rytzner began acting from an early age in school and highschool productions, both in Spain and in the USA. She is therefore, a bilingual actress in English, Swedish and Catalan (apart from Spanish, her mother tongue).

After receiving her BA from Spain’s Royal School for Dramatic Arts (RESAD) followed by a MA in Acting for Screen at Central de Cine (Madrid) in June of 2015,  she performed at the Madrid Fringe Festival 2015 with her own theatre company (www.nudusteatro.com), in a production of Mark Ravenhill’s Shoot, Get Treasure, Repeat, the script for which she also translated.

She participated in El Aedo Teatro’s Animales Nocturnos at the Fernán Gómez Theater in Madrid,  and was cast in two different TV Series: Queens, Virgin and Martyr (playing Mary Seton, Mary Queen of Scots’ loyal lady-in-waiting, filmed entirely in English during 5 months) and Centro Médico produced by Spanish TVE. She also had a speaking role in Terry Gilliam’s latest film The Man who killed don Quixote which premiered in cinemas in 2018. That same year she moved to the UK where she acted in shows from the Spanish Theatre Company such as “Litus” by Marta Buchaca (in both versions, Spanish and English) at the Cervantes Theatre in London.

She is currently back in Madrid filming TVE‘s new TV Series HIT as a Series Regular, which will air 2020.
